I once burried myself in the sea.
I tried so unyeildingly to fill my lungs with her,
but I began to hear your ballad and like the Allah might,
you lifted me up from the ocean floor.
My hair dangled from your arms as you carried me up
to the rafters where it is said that you reside.
We sat there for what felt a moment, but
our legs hung down for quite sometime.
If I recall, we must have been there for days,
watching the setting sky from the best seat in the house.
